Words to Live by.

The more you Invest in Marriage, the more Valuable it becomes. ~Amy Grant

I recently had a conversation with one of Ammon's aunts and she gave me a whole new insight on marriage. It's all a matter of being a King and Queen.
When Ammon would come home from work, I would always have a few things I needed for him to help with. And I would get upset if he didn't put his dirty clothes where they're supposed to go. Stacy really hit the nail on the head with this one! She had the same experience when her and Quinn were newly weds. You have to treat your husband like a king and he'll treat you like a queen in return. If he strips his clothes off from the door to the shower... pick them up. The more you do for him, the more he'll do for you.
Marriage can get better every day. You both just have to work at it...
I must say, I enjoy being a Queen ;)

Lazy Sunday

After sleeping in, we kick in high gear to get ready for church. Of course it would take Ammon longer to get ready than me. I guess it would be easier to just lay out his clothes every morning. I swear he's the king of misplacing things.
Actually, he just doesn't look. He'll ask me where something is before thinking about looking for it.
This is where my game begins... I just pretend I don't hear him until he stumbles upon it ((where it's supposed to be))... makes me laugh every time.
After church, we have chicken alfredo and snuggle up on the couch listening to the rain in silence. It doesn't take long before I'm headed to the bedroom for a quick nap. To my surprise, Ammon follows and lays in the bed with me for an hour while I nap. He was so quiet while he played with his phone (looking at car stuff I'm sure). This is how I know I have the sweetest husband ever.
I don't know of anyone who would lay in the bed for a solid hour so their spouse could take a nap.
I secretly think he took a nap with me and just kept it a secret ;)

Happy Wifey

I drove to Dothan yesterday to eat with Ammon on his lunch break.
I must say, it was well worth the drive. He works at Longhorn Steakhouse, so he gets an employee discount! We each had an 8oz. steak, side dish, appetizer, salad, and drinks for only $16.34.....
Now that's a good deal!
I thought spending an hour with my husband would be the highlight of my day, but it only got better.
Just as I was getting into town, Ammon texted  me to let me know
the power went out, and employees were informed that they could go home early.
This was just enough time for me to wash the Toyota, and watch my episode of Pretty Little Liars before he got home. Just these few extra hours with him made me one happy wifey.
